Job Description

Position Summary

The Assistant Site Manager will assist the Site Manager to oversee all contracted services for a high-profile Fortune 500 Company and will be expected to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position will be responsible to lead people, processes and programs to drive operational excellence in a complex work environment up to or over 1 million square feet in size. We are looking for someone who adapts quickly to change and is able to provide win-win solutions for both the client and ABM. A critical thinker who uses good judgement to solve problems and one who can effectively communicate with the client and their team.

Essential Duties
  • Responsible for assisting a Site Manager to insure the cleaning specifications are met within the building while remaining within budgetary restrains.
  • Payroll; collecting, tabulating and forwarding necessary payroll information to the ABM Payroll office.
  • Communicate with customers, schedule tag jobs, provide estimates, etc.
  • Interview and hire personnel according to the ABM guidelines.
  • Responsible to train and develop new and existing employees to defined quality standards.
  • Computer and office duties; knowledge of the office equipment.
  • Follow ABM Progressive Discipline.
  • Order supplies and perform inventory.
  • Promotes a strong safety culture and safe work environment.
  • Cover for absent employees if necessary; train, instruct and participate in all projects.
  • Establishes and maintains strong client relationships.
  • Provide leadership support across a 24x7 work setting.
  • Plans, develops and assigns work schedules to ensure service delivery expectations are achieved.
  • Job duties may be modified at any time.
  • Performs daily quality control inspections to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
  • Complies with client and internal ABM processes and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent/GED.
  • 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in facility services or building management is desired.
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution center or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to support the operation.
  • Solid business acumen and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Must maintain a valid State issued driver's license.
  • Previous custodial experience desired.
  • Able to stand up to 10 hours per day.
