Perform project management activities to support research conducted by the Department of Emergency Medicine . The position will support the accomplishment of grant - funded portfolio of patient-centered research including clinical trials and health services research in the Department of Emergency Medicine .

Grants Management
  • Performs grant management requirements including inter-departmental coordination with grants office, business office, compliance office, Institutional Review Board, and external data source suppliers.
  • Coordinates and contributes to grant proposal submissions.
  • Prepares , edits and submits IRB documents for investigator - and industry- initiated studies and provides support for protocol development .
  • Manages project budgets, track expenditures and fulfills reporting requirements to ensure adherence to project budget and scope of work.
  • Initiates and manages opening, closing and maintenance activities for projects, including documentation and filing of data, information, reports, etc .
  • Identifies and recommends changes to policies, procedures, and processes that have an impact on research studies.
  • Prepares , edits and submits various reports for investigator - and industry- initiated studies

Clinical Trial Management
  • Coordinates and organizes activities related to research project development , implementation , and evaluation for clinical trials as well as other research studies .
  • Prepares procedure manuals and other study related documents.
  • Oversees clinical trials implementation including and not limited to development of timelines, protocols, training and supervision of staff in accordance with Good Clinical Research Practice (GCP)
  • Performs quality control assessments, ensuring data is collected and stored per GCP.
  • Ensures that sub-contractors meet their technical responsibilities (data management, data analysis) across multiple institutions in a timely manner to ensure that the aims of the funded research grants are achieved.
  • Obtains informed consent from research studies and conducts data collection as needed.
  • Faciliates project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Future Project Planning
  • Performs research activities within the scope of the portfolio including writing and grant proposals and collaborating with internal investigators to further develop the team's portfolio.
  • Facilitates communication with internal and external partners and research collaborators concerning partnership for future endeavors.
  • Achieves subject matter proficiency by reading and synthesizing pertinent literature


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, Masters or higher level preferred. Must have CitiCert certification for human subjects research completed by job start date.
