This position is responsible for the financial oversight and planning for all clinical and academic activities in the Sleep Disorders Center (SDC). This includes implementation of strategic plans for all activities consistent with the annual budget, goals, and objectives of the SDC.
  • Oversee department financial and budget processes
  • Coordinate and execute SDC operations projects
  • Conduct SDC business operations data analysis and reporting
  • Develop, manage and monitor Sleep Medicine Enterprise ISFP tactics

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Works with the Administrator to develop SDC forecasts, business plans, operating budgets, capital budgets and mission-based budgets for Hospital, College, Special Purpose, Sponsored Research and Jefferson University Physician Accounts.
    • Manage SDC finances (GL Accounts, Budget, Credit Cards, Reimbursements)
    • Statistical Reporting on SDC volume, revenue, expenses and productivity
    • Statistical Reporting and ISFP Development for Sleep Medicine Enterprise
    • Create department and Sleep Medicine Enterprise ISFP Business Plans
  • Plan and oversee department projects, ensuring they are completed and within budget
  • Converts the SDC faculty effort report to determine how to spread their budget compensation by mission.
  • Oversees the integrity of SDC financial and clinical interfaces.
  • Analyzes all SDC revenues and expenses
  • Reviews and approves all SDC financial transactions for all Academic, Clinical, and Research Divisions. Ensures transactions do not exceed budgeted funds or University guidelines for approved expenditures.
  • Oversees SDC payroll for Physicians, quarterly Physicians' overage bonuses, and pension reconciliation.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.


Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years Financial Management and general accounting experience within an academic medical setting preferred.
  • Proven expertise in MS Excel required.
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning and Reports preferred.
  • PeopleSoft General Ledger experience preferred.
