PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Under the general supervision of the Office Manager/Office Coordinator performs reception, data entry and clerical duties to facilitate and provide quality patient care in an out-patient setting. May communicate with patients ranging in age from 0 to 100+.

Qualifications

Full-time, 40 hours per week, (Days)

Education & Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate from a Medical Office Assistant program required


Experience:
  • Prior medical office and venipuncture experience preferred


License, Certification & Registration:
  • Nationally recognized Certification in Medical Assisting strongly preferred (would also consider a graduate from a Practical Nursing program).
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required within 90 days.


Other Requirements:
  • Must meet requirements of PA Act 73 regarding child abuse clearance if applicable to practice.
  • A valid Driver's License is required for practices with multiple sites.


Conditions of Employment

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
