PART TIME 24 hours/week ROTATING SHIFT.
Assists R.N. in delivering care, observing patient behaviors, providing daily community meetings and assisting in various procedures. Works closely with the R.N. and reports any changes in patient's mood or behavior in a timely fashion. When necessary assists the R.N. and unit staff with pre-admission screening calls from referral sources. Also provides information about the program to callers. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
At Least 12 college credits, and full college degree preferred.
BS or BA in behavioral health field
One-year experience with behavioral health clients preferred.
Must be trained in performing effective CPR in an emergency situation until help arrives.
Must be trained in PEAT and able to safely schedule and restrain an aggressively acting out patient.
Conditions of Employment
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
