The primary focus of this position is to be responsible for checking patients in and out of department, verifying insurance, collecting co-pays, scheduling appointments, answering telephones, opening and sorting mail, and scanning documents.

  • Check in and check out process
  • Answers telephone and distributes message
  • Schedules appointments via Epic
  • Scans and uploads documents and imaging into Epic and Lifeimage
  • Communicates with outside constituencies, e.g., hospital, record requests, etc.
  • Checks in and out patients via physician wrap up in Epic
  • Schedules imaging for patients as needed
  • Answers phone and send message via inbaskets to care teams
  • Scans in reports and imaging cd via Epic, Utility Client and Life imaging
  • Other duties as assigned



High School diploma, some college, computer knowledge desirable


Three or more years of business office/medical practice experience is required. Knowledge of third party coverage and regulations is necessary
