Patient Office Coordinator - Cancer Genetics (Full Time, Day) - Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY : Under the direction of the director of cancer clinical genetics, schedules patients for genetic counseling sessions and results disclosure sessions. Facilitates the gathering of health information for new patient visits. Creates information sheet and obtains materials needed for the weekly clinical genetics patient conference.

  • Answers dedicated genetics line.
  • Provides patients with appointment for consultation with appropriate genetic counselor.
  • Works with pts to gather materials necessary for consultation with a Jefferson cancer genetics specialist(s).
  • Mails information packet in advance of appointment.
  • Provides appointments with other Jefferson specialists as directed.




Must have a minimum of two years experience in an ambulatory setting, and demonstrate good command of oncology terminology. Must demonstrate superior service providing skills, customer relations and telephone etiquette. PC/Microsoft Office skills required. Working knowledge of EMRs ex. EPIC helpful.
