Job Description

IT Project Analyst

100% Remote

The Analyst role is tasked with support for IT Business Operations. The Senior Analyst will analyze, document and report data and project information to support the effective operation of the IT PMO. This role will coordinate and support PMO operations through administration and management of PMO-related tools and applications. The Analyst will drive PMO maturity through process analysis and identification of improvement opportunities.

The Analyst will coordinate and lead IT low to medium complexity projects, program workstreams, and discovery initiatives as defined by the IT PMO portfolio and organization goals. Project coordination includes tasks and activities for project preparation, execution, and sustainment. With moderate supervision, the role leads task planning and resource management, resolves risks, and issues and escalates when appropriate, and delivers effective communication of project status to stakeholders and users.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in information technology or other related fields ideally in a Project Management Office (PMO), with exposure to or desire to learn about key PMO functions, information and technology, and the biotechnology industry. The applicant should bring business analytical skills, leadership and business acumen, and sense of diplomacy to inform, and guide required interaction with IT staff at all levels and colleagues across the company.

Essential Functions of the job:

Project Delivery

  • Identify and document business requirements, execute discovery efforts, and support forming of business cases.
  • Coordinate business, technical, and vendor resources to support projects and initiatives.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor project and program collateral (e.g., task plans, RAID, and other tracking logs).
  • Prepare and publish status reports and presentations to communicate project status, risks, and issues.
  • Lead meetings and provide teams effective means to collaborate and share materials.
  • Track and facilitate the resolution of project issues and manage escalations to PMO and IT leadership.


PMO Operations

  • Propose, develop, test, and deploy IT PMO-related tools, working with the vendor to solution needs from the IT PMO.
  • Develop new and improve existing IT PMO training materials and process documentation to mature the


IT PMO.

  • Perform IT PMO data analysis to provide insights into IT operational activities, project and program performance and success, portfolio forecasting, and budget/procurement management.
  • Analyze PMO-related data and processes, propose and/or prepare reporting and metrics for consumption by IT and BeiGene leadership.
  • Train, and socialize IT PMO methodology and tools.


Qualifications

  • Five (5) + years of operational, administrative, or technical work experience in the life sciences and/or high-tech industries.
  • Experience as project coordinator, project manager or in a PMO environment.
  • Training and/or certification in business analysis (IIBA), project management (CAPM/PMP), change management (ADKAR/Prosci), ITIL, and/or Agile practices preferred.
